"The Dirty Ones," by J. A. Huss
Romantic Suspense
Book Blurb
They said write what you know so that's what I did. I wrote dirty, I wrote erotic, I wrote the truth.
And then they called me a liar. But it's not me who's lying, it's them.
Our story isn't for everyone. It's not even for us.
So if you're looking for the fairy tale and the stupid prince on his dumb white horse, move along. You've got a hold of the wrong book. This is not your story, this is not your life, and this is not your opportunity to dip your frightened little toe into the dark pool of water and "try new things" and then pull it out and decide...
#NotForMe.
When you go in with us you go all in. So make a decision before you turn this page.
Because I'm making one promise with this book.
Just one.
We are The Dirty Ones and this is our truth.
My Review
Okay, guys… I’m going to keep this review short and sweet. Why, you ask? Because, like, aren’t I one of the longest-winded humans you’ve ever met? (Yes, I’m sure I am. I fully own that writerly character flaw. 🤣) The reason is simple: This is one of those books you quite simply MUST read for yourself.
The Dirty Ones by J. A. Huss is a romantic suspense unlike any you’ve read before. I spent the first quarter of the book scratching my head and going, “Wait, what?” I also spent most of that time quivering in my boots because I had absolutely NO CLUE what was to come and sensed it was gonna be a doozy. And… it is. Trust me, it is. I’m not going to say any more because I’m not sure I’d be able to reel myself in without giving spoilers or going down some crazy tangent that has everyone scratching their heads and going, “Huh?”
Just trust me. If you have any interest whatsoever in cis heterosexual romantic suspense novels, do yourself a favor and invest some time in this one. It’s one of those reads I’ll be thinking about for years to come. It dug deep and took root. For better or worse… but I’m gonna go with “for better.”
So, what are you waiting for? The Dirty Ones is available for immediate enjoyment! It’s even on Kindle Unlimited for those of you, like me, who love seeing that “Read for Free” button… especially on a highly recommended read! 😍
Until next time,
E💕
