New Adult Gay (M/M) Romance

I had the pleasure this week of reading the delightful Cut to the Feeling series by Noah Steele. He offered me books one and two plus a companion novella several months ago as a sort of “package deal.” It was so much fun to start with Aiden and Derrek in Racing Into Love, then follow Oliver into his own love story with Seth in Fighting for Love, while rounding out the experience with the tasty treat of Beckett and Alex’s darling first time romance in Act of Love.

"Black Flag: Safe Passage," by Rachel Ford

This week’s read was a wild ride, y’all! Black Flag: Safe Passage by Rachel Ford is an enjoyable sci-fi space opera with a lesbian romance at its heart. The vast world Ford created, and the quirky cast of characters kept me turning the pages.

"Love Repaired," by Deana Birch

Guuuyyysss. Deana Birch has been one of those authors I’ve kept an eye on ever since her debut. I’ve read every book she’s written, and am constantly left with a smile on my face when I do. However, Love Repaired really, really hit it home for me. Out of all her novels, this is by far the cream of the crop. I adore how it shows her growing as an author, and it makes me love her even more!

Have mercy. It’s official, y’all. I have found my new favorite book. Hands down best read of the year. I can’t say enough how much I absolutely loved and adored Spellbound by Allie Therin. In fact, if I sat here and spewed all the fan-girling nonsense my fingers keep trying to type, y’all wouldn’t keep reading. Which would be a disservice to you, me, and this phenomenal book.

"Death On Line One," by T.K. Barber

Holy guacamole, y’all. You wanna talk smashing debut? Look no further than Death on Line One by T.K. Barber. This book positively blew my readerly hair off, and in the best possible way. Not only is the title clever and on the nose in a delightfully unique way, but the story itself follows suit.

Weehoo!! This week’s read was a weird and wonderfully wild ride. It was everything and nothing like I expected, all at once. 🤣 August Prather is Not Dead Yet, by Danielle K. Roux, is a positively divine and entertaining read. It takes you on a journey with unexpected twists and a whole heck-of-a-lot of heart. But the even cooler part? It’s kind of like you’re getting two stories for the price of one. And neither of them failed to delight.

"Luca's Lessons," by Deana Birch & Amelia Foster

I had the pleasure of reading this book as a beta reader, as both the authors are dear friends. However, as I’ve mentioned before, don’t let that fact sway you into believing this review is anything but accurate and true. I’ve been fortunate enough to surround myself with writers of an unbelievable caliber. Together, we’ve all grown and built one another up into what I truly believe is an unstoppable force. Luca’s Lessons, by Deana Birch and Amelia Foster, is just one example of the awesome power of a strong writing group. 💕

"King Unveiled," by Taralynn Moore

I didn’t grow up in a religious home, so the story of King David isn’t one I’m familiar with. However, if King Unveiled by Taralynn Moore gives any indication, I’m positive it’s a riveting and emotional story.
