I was fortunate enough to beta read for Kat Turner when this manuscript was still in its infancy. At the time, I fell absolutely in love with Turner’s writing style and the way she portrayed her strong female lead. The story itself was a delight, and I loved the roguish hero. However, when I was given the opportunity to re-read the latest and greatest version… somehow, Turner managed to up her game.

This is a delightful take on the world of magic, with its own unique nuance that allows it to stand alone in a sea of urban fantasies and paranormal romances. I absolutely adored Turner’s world-building and felt like I was really there with her characters.

I spent as many moments on the edge of my seat as I did biting my lip and fanning the flames. This has a great mix of tension and heat while still giving the reader oodles to laugh about. A heady combination, indeed.

I would recommend this book to anyone who adores magic and mayhem and a little bit of mystery too! 🤩
